Cancer Screening
Cancer Screening is a medical process used to check for signs of cancer before symptoms appear. It involves tests or exams that help detect cancer early, when it’s more likely to be treated successfully. Common screening methods include mammograms for breast cancer, colonoscopies for colorectal cancer, and Pap tests for cervical cancer. Screening doesn’t diagnose cancer but helps identify people who may need further testing.
Pap Smear
A Pap Smear, also called a pap test, is a simple procedure used to screen for cervical cancer. It involves collecting cells from the cervix—the lower part of the uterus—to check for any abnormal changes that could lead to cancer. The test is quick, usually done during a pelvic exam, and helps detect problems early, often before symptoms appear.
